Welcome to the Puppy Trainer

Welcome to the Puppy Trainer

Sarah Western is the founder of The Puppy Trainer, which is now a Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Listed Status Club. Sarah works for the ISCP as a co-secretary and has been awarded ISCP Accredited Centre for the North West, this is the first centre in the area. Sarah has been working and training with dogs for over 13 years , 11 years as a dog walker and for the last 5 years teaching classes and doing 121 home visits. By using kind methods and giving training back to the dogs you can achieve amazing results. Training your puppy/dog is rewarding and should be fun for both you and your dog, it also helps build a strong bond between you.

Sarah is a certified Dog Instructor with the International Animal Behavior Training College(IABTC) Clicker level 1-2 with the IABTC. Canine Practitioner with the ISCP. Sarah is also the first of a group of people to become a qualified Canine Flow Practitioner with Caroline Griffith the Spiritual Dog Trainer.

The Puppy Trainer offers :

  • Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Course 5 week course £55
  • Bronze Award - Dog Obedience Course 5 week course £55
  • 121 Training in your home 1hr 30 mins £45
  • Behavior Modification £55
  • Border Collie 121 Training £60

All the classes and one-to-one's cover all foundation training as the start of you understanding how your dog learns. You will see from kind methods and rewarding your dog how you can quickly become a team and work together. So now your able to see what actually your dog is capable of. From using a clicker to reward the behavior’s we like, they start to offer what you have reinforced so reward when they offer you behaviors you like.

I’m a big believer in appropriate exercise for the breed of dog you have, from being a puppy we need to understand the level activity there body is capable of and not to over exercise them.

Creating a calm safe environment in the home is so important, good nutrition, providing a place to sleep, they need boundaries to be safe, simple games and regular training keeps you both working together as a team.
